This project sounds really horrible and tacky, and maybe it is....but it's so practical for my workshop floor. And it was easy and economical.

The problem: Floorboards with cracks between them where sawdust and screws and nails and whatnot can get trapped.

The solution: Some nice peel and stick tiles stuck to artists canvas. I'm sure you could use plastic or some other material, but I had the canvas lying around on the floor taking up space. I figured I'd better use it.

The advantages: It's not stuck to the floor. I can sweep up the debris. I can change it to something else.

The disadvantages: I don't sweep much so it was covered with sawdust within hours of taking this photo and will be for a very long time.
